Which lens would be considered a Wide Angle Lens for a camera that is single lens reflex?
28 mm, 50 mm, 80 mm, 100 mm, or 200 mm?
On a 35mm Slr Camera, 28mm or wider (lower number) would be considered a wide angle. The same holds true for any full-frame DSLR. The majority of DSLR's uses smaller sensors (DX-sized) and usually crop the usable image 1.5x or 1.6x. Thus, most current DSLR's have 18mm zooms to cover the "wider" range, as an 18mm lens gives the effective view of a 27mm lens on that Camera Body.
