Touching up pictures?
I've taking pictues using my sony 8.1mp Cybershot Camera. now i would like to brush up the pictures using picasa or some type of program (prefer a free program). By brushing up i mean removing pimples, scars, flaws in the skin to give it that star quality/magazine look. please help!!
You need to use a photoshop quality program to get those results. It's really worth it. However, the photoshop program is VERY expensive. The new program is pushing $600, and the old is around $100 (adobe photoshop elements is not the same program). In order to get around this, you can try a few things. One, you can try your library. SOME may have it and you can use it there. Ask your friends. One of them is bound to have it or know someone who does. Ask to borrow the disk. If you are in school I guarantee some computer somewhere has the program. You can also chance it on ebay or order a used copy. I'd do that because photoshop is handy! Other than that, you won't be able to airbrush like in the magazines. If you have a free program you really want to you if they have a smudging tool you can smudge away the pimples and things. If you get photoshop, it takes a bit of getting used to. You need to play around with it to get results. The best thing for airbrushing skin is a blur tool (not a smudge tool). I like to brighten my eyes too with a dodge tool, whiten the whites of my eyes with the blur tool a bit, and set the blur tool to about 10 percent and even out things like lips and such. If teeth are showing you CAN whiten them with the dodge tool, just don't go too white or it looks fake. I don't mean magazine fake, I mean alien fake. If you have a pimple that won't go away through blurring alone, you can use the smudge tool in moderation. Like ONE swipe, very small, blur over it a lot. It takes a bit of practice but you'll get good results if you have patience. Good luck!
