Olympus Stylus Tough 8000: Tough Point-and-Shoot
The waterproof, shockproof, freezeproof, crushproof and shakeproof Olympus Stylus Tough 8000 camera is at it's core a 12 mega-pixel camera. The only difference between this and other point-and-shoot Digital Cameras is that you don't have to nearly as delicate with it. The Tough 8000 isn't as expensive as you'd think it would be, right now you can get it for $291.95.
The Olympus Stylus Tough 8000 has a lot of high points but these are the ones that will mean the most to you.
- Rugged and Durable - Olympus isn't like other company's that promise the moon but you only get a meteor. When they say that it's waterproof, shockproof, freezeproof, crushproof and shakeproof it really is. You don't have to even take my word for it just look around online people will atest to the Tough 8000's durability.
- Features, features and more features - Don't think this is just another gimmick camera that is only good at one thing. The stylus Tough 8000 features like dual image stabilization, anti-blur and built in panaroma just to name a few.
- Picture quality - after all this is a camera and it takes pictures so picture quality is important and Olympus didn't forget that. They even feature a special mode called "beauty mode" which soften shadows and smooth wrinkles or blemishes on the skin of the person your shooting.
- The 2.7" LCD - The LCD on the Tough 8000 uses a new technology known as Advanced HyperCrystal III, this technology gives you the most accurate representation of what your about to take a picture of.
