Which one is better? Olympus Mju (Stylus) 760 or Canon IXUS 850 IS? Exlain, Please!!?
I'm planning to buy a Digital Camera but i don't know which one to buy. Both have high quality. Which one is better? Which one Should I buy? I don't know which one to buy? Please help me!!! Explain your answer please, elaborate!
The IXUS 850 (a.k.a. SD800IS in the US) would be a great little camera. The main feature that I would like about the SD800 is it's 28mm Wide Angle lens- if it were only a good one. The image quality from this camera is reasonably good in the center, but suffers from what I consider horrible corner softness (i.e. blur). So, that nice 28mm wide angle isn't really fully usable. It also costs about $100 more than the Oly (depending on where you buy it).
The best thing about the Oly is that it's Water Proof. I haven't compared image quality, but Canon does a pretty good job with metering and image processing to get the most out of what the sensor offers- and they both appear to use the same sensor. So, general image quality may be a bit better on the Canon- w.r.t. exposure, noise and resolving detail. But, if you're just looking for a Compact Camera, and the last detail of image quality isn't that important to you- then these things wont matter much. If you want the best IQ in a compact camera- get the Fuji F31fd or F40- for about the same price.
