Matte paper vs. Glossy Paper?
I know what glossy paper is like, but I'm not sure about matte.
What does it feel like, can you compare it to something? And are the differences in the colors very noticeable?
Just tell me about it because i can't figure it out.
Glossy Paper:
pros:
-shiny look
-reflects light well
-vibrant rich colors
-appealing to the eye
-the standard finish we are now used to seeing
cons:
-can be hard to view under strong light sources
-fingerprints and dirt can be a problem
Matte Paper:
pros:
-does not reflect light
-black and white prints may look better with this finish
-easy to view under all light conditions
-does not attract fingerprints or dirt
cons:
-colors are dull looking
-do not appear to be high quality prints
-photo paper looks and feels like ordinary stock paper
