Are half-frame glasses supposed to have a line etched around the lens?
I just got a pair of glasses with half-frames (no frame on the bottom half). The lens has an etched line around the border, as if it should fit into full-frame glasses. Did they mess up, or is it always like this?
The groove around the edge is not an error. It has a nylon string that holds your lenses into the frame. Some lenses are held in with screws and others require the nylon.
